Dr. Aliya Naheed, Fellow, Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS) and Senior Scientist, International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) has been internationally recognized by the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) as one of thirteen women featured in its March issue, “From Presence to Power: Women Leading in Science.” This recognition highlights her impactful leadership and contributions to advancing science, demonstrating the vital role women play in shaping the future of scientific research and innovation.

The World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) has honoured Professor Dr. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, a distinguished poultry pathologist and academic leader from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), and Fellow, Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS) through his induction into the WVPA Hall of Honour 2025 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to poultry veterinary science.

Prof. Golam Abu Zakaria was on the return journey from a visit to Wiehl's twin town of Crimmitschau when he reached the happy customer via SMS: The International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP) gives him the Harold Johns Medal 2025. This is the most important international award in the field of medical physics. The importance of the medal is correspondingly high, and his joy is correspondingly great.
