Emeritus Prof. Dr. Abul Kalam Azad Chowdhury, President, Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS) with Prof. Muzaffer ?eker, President, Turkish Academy of Sciences (TUBA), on bank of Bosphorus, Istanbul, Turkey after the Symposium on “The Role of Science Academies in the Future of Basic Sciences by TÜBA & AASSA” Eid-al Fitr Reunion 2023 On March 23, 2023 (Thursday) Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has handed over  Bangladesh Academy of Science (BAS) and First Security Islami Bank Limited (FSIBL) have jointly organized the 13th National Science Olympiad-2023, a press release said Sunday. Dr. Dipu Moni, Education Minister, was virtually present as chief guest at the closing and prize giving ceremony held at Curzon Hall of Dhaka University on 11 February 2023.  Syed Waseque Md. Ali, MD of FSIBL, was present as special guest and Professor Dr. Zahurul Karim, Vice President of BAS, presided over the program. Emeritus professor Dr. M. Shamsher Ali, Convener, Science Olympiad 2023, Professor Dr. Haseena Khan, Secretary, BAS, was also present. BAS-FSIBL Science Olympiad-2023 BAS-FSIBL Science Olympiad-2023 BAS-FSIBL Science Olympiad-2023-3 The Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS) organized the 5th Young Scientists Congress (YSC5) was held on 25-27 November 2022 at the National Science & Technology Complex (Biggyan Bhaban), Agargaon, Dhaka-1207. The theme of the Congress this year is ‘Young Scientists for Health & Environment’. Experience from the previous events of the Series shows that the Congress provides a unique multidisciplinary environment and opportunity for the young scientists to exchange views and ideas among themselves. On 25 November to encourage, inspire and motivate the young scientists of the country in collaboration with Bangladesh Science Academy, Akiz Group, Union Bank Ltd. and National Science and Technology Museum, following the main slogan of Emeritus Professor Dr. AK Azad Chowdhury, President, Bangladesh Academy of Sciences thanked the Honorable Chief Guest for being present and inspiring everyone. Professor Dr. Haseena Khan, Secretary, Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, President of the Organizing Committee, Major General (Retd.) Professor Dr. ASM Matiur Rahman and Secretary Professor Dr. Liaquat Ali, delivered the speech. The AGM of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences held on August 27, 2022 endorsed its new Council (July 2022-June 2025)President, Emeritus Prof. Dr. AK Azad Chowdhury; Vice Presidents, Prof. Dr. Zahurul Karim, Prof. Dr. Choudhury Mahmood Hasan; Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed; Secretary, Prof. Dr. Haseena Khan; Associate Secretary, Prof. Dr. Yearul Kabir; Members: Dr. M. Idris Ali, Prof. Dr. Z N Tahmida Begum, Prof. Dr. Shariff Enamul Kabir, Prof. Dr. Liaquat Ali, Maj. Gen. Prof. Dr. ASM Matiur, Rahman, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rashid
