A 2 day long training program on Management of e-Resources was held on 31 March – 1 April 2010 in the Computer Lab. of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka. The training program was jointly organized by the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS) with the financial support of the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP). Prof. Dr. M Shamsher Ali, President, BAS and Vice Chancellor, Southeast University was the Chief Guest in the Inaugural Ceremony. Prof. Dr. AMM Safiullah, Vice Chancellor, BUET was the special guest. The inaugural ceremony was chaired by Prof. Dr. AKM Aminul Haque.
The program was designed for the primary group and advanced group of the library officers and IT officers of all network member organizations ie. universities, research and development organizations of Bangladesh. About 80 persons were participated in the program. The trainees of the participants were trained on many issues regarding better use and better management of e-Resources. They also shared their views and future plan with their library during training.
