Biography

Educated at Dhaka University, Bangladesh (M. Sc. in Chemistry, 1958) and Ottawa University, Canada (Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, 1963), Commonwealth scholar (1960).
: Primary interest has been in the field of Natural Products Chemistry. Phytochcmical studies on a number of indigenous medicinal plants have been accomplished and has made valuable contribution in this field. Has also been interested in organic reactions
